Fragrance Review

Introduced in 2011, as part of ’s Harvest Collection (formerly known as “Les Millesimes de ”) Very Irresistible Rose Damascena de Turquie is a floral feminine fragrance, based on fruity, fresh and green accords. Besides this particular perfume, the Harvest Collection comprise as well: Ange ou Demón Le Jasmin Sambac de Chine, Amarige L’Ylang-Ylang des Comores and Organza Le Néroli d’Égypte.

As a fragrance which has been reinterpreted around the Turkish , Very Irresistible Givenchy Rose Damascena de Turquie was manufactured using a specific harvest of roses, originated from the Turkey’s Isparta Province. Moreover, 2011 was the sixth consecutive year since Givenchy was presenting an olfactory iteration based on four from their popular perfumes.

Very Irresistible Givenchy Rose Damascena de Turquie top notes are: star anise, lemon verbena and fresh notes; its heart is Damask rose, green boxwood accords and raspberry note; base notes are composed of woodsy accords.

My wife sampled this perfume last year on her wrist, while we were in a store, motivated less because she is a fan of the Very Irresistible and more because both she and I loved the bottle. Another interesting aspect is that this scent is available in Limited Edition, that comes in a containing a 60 ml EdP, with an adorable bottle, made from transparent glass. The color of the liquid is pink, to match the dominant note, while the cap is also transparent and has a nice rectangular form, with rounded edges. Reportedly, a huge quantity of roses (12 millions petals!) was employed in order to provide this olfactory symphony of roses.
