Versace Pour Homme – A Signature Fragrance for Powerful Characters
“Dynamic and entrepreneurial, the Versace Pour Homme man communicates his forceful and passionate character through a decidedly masculine fragrance”. This is the description from the official website, which captures the spirit of this perfume. Introduced in 2008, Versace Pour Homme belongs to the aromatic fougere olfactory group and was developed by perfumer Alberto Morillas for the elegant man who does not feel embarrassed by his fashion choices.
The target group of Versace Pour Homme is represented by the self-confident men with powerful characters, a category that discovers the potential of this modern signature scent. For creating the perfume, Alberto Morillas selected carefully powerful and unique ingredients. The opening is based on a blend of bergamot, orange leaf, neroli and cedar from the Calabrian town of Diamante. Then, as these accords fade slowly away, the substitute comes in the shape of warm cedar wood, combined with geranium, sclary sage and hyacinth. The base notes are revealing an elegant construction that includes musk, oud wood, amber and Tonka bean.
I admit that subsequent to testing Versace Pour Homme I was nicely surprised by the complexity of this fragrance; however the bottle, which is a little unusual for my taste, prevented me from considering a future acquisition. On a second analysis of the packaging I discovered that I was disturbed by the Versace logo (which appears in silver chromatic, approximately in the middle of the bottle), in spite of the fact that I was convinced by the transparent glass which revealed a liquid with a color that reminds of the Mediterranean water. Overall, Versace Pour Homme is a fragrance for a man who feels comfortable with exhibiting his interest for fashion.
