Truth Calvin Klein – Pure Elements of the Nature

As I’m sure you read it here before, I have the feeling that, during the last years, the new releases from Calvin Klein were not able to match the perfection encountered in the classic perfumes of this house (here I’m referring to Obsession, Eternity, Contradiction and Escape). That is why I have a deep regret for the “golden years” of Calvin Klein’s perfumery and the fact that some products were discontinued in specific regions (read Obsession).

Following this introduction, in the group of the representative scents created by Calvin Klein Cosmetics Company, here comes one more, apart from those mentioned earlier. Truth is an oriental woody fragrance for women introduced in 2000 and designed by a trio of perfumers: Alberto Morillas, Jacques Cavallier and Thierry Wasser. I was very familiar with Truth for men (I had a bottle, purchased 9 years ago that proved to be excellent!), therefore I had an idea of what to expect, but when I discovered Truth I was a little surprised by the complexity of this fragrance. The decision of employment 3 famous perfumers was totally justified since the final result is placing Truth in my personal preference right on the second spot close to the beloved Obsession.

This elegant perfume represents an olfactory experience that is incredible to the senses. The beginning takes you to intoxicating notes of lemon and bergamot, combined with bamboo. The smell is very stingy, although not offensive. The mid development smells sandalwood mixed with peony while the base encompasses sweet aroma of vanilla and warm white amber. This is a smell that is bewitching.

The bottle of Truth was designed by Lucien Baron, who imagined a minimalistic design having a curved bottle that is a little tilted and may be positioned either vertically or horizontally. The video advertisement presents the French model Aurélie Claudel in a story inspired by the pure elements of nature. Truth is ideal for the stylish modern woman who finds the time to take care of herself in this world which is always running at fast pace.
