, the Spanish and accessories brand is a reference when it comes to and its perfumery line matches the legacy. The first fragrances from Loewe was launched back in 1972 with the name L de Loewe for women and even after the take over from in 1996, Loewe maintains its fragrance line. Actually, the most popular fragrance on the Spanish market is Aire Loewe for women, from 1985. I have always wanted to own a perfume from Loewe and for me, that occasion arrived with the introduction of Solo, back in 2004.

belongs to the olfactory group of woody spicy fragrances and embodies the image of a strong man, capable of dealing with the hardships of life. The main accords are citrus and warm spicy which makes an ideal perfume for day to day, casual wear. The ingredients are built around the citrus notes, starting with lavender, lemon, bergamot and . The heart is composed of pink pepper, anise, caraway, mint, aldehydes, cinnamon and , while the base notes feature woodsy notes, vanilla, oakmoss, musk and amber.

The most powerful notes that make the character of the fragrance are the pink pepper, mandarin orange and cinnamon. Actually, the pepper found in Solo Loewe reminds me of Terre d’, but this was released much later, therefore the only conclusion could be that this unmistakable tone was added to evoke the fresh spicy character of the scent.

The bottle of the scent has an unusual shape, the transparent glass revealing the liquid’s color which represents an allusion to its citrus notes with mandarin/orange shades. The stopper comes with a , sustained by the solid structure if viewed from the front and the hollow frame if analyzed from the sides.
