She Wood DSQUARED2 – The Freshness of a Green Forest

She Wood DSQUARED2_100ml

Fragrance Review

The Canadian fashion house DSQUARED2, founded by the two identical twin brothers introduced their first feminine fragrance in 2008, She Wood, which represents the feminine counterpart of the first success, He Wood, presented in 2007. This scent was imagined by its creator, Daphne Bugey as a universe composed from citrus, floral and woody accords. This happened as something quite unusual, since the starting point was the masculine fragrance, which was molded by adding the characteristic accords of woman fragrances. As a result, She Wood is no longer that classic perfume for girls, being a player in the niche reserved for the women who like to use perfumes for men.

“Our perfume is not sweet and girly, but is modern and women” is the announcement of Dean and Dan Caten, on DSQUARED2 site. And they succeed in the task of creating a scent that reminds of the freshness found in the green forest, and what better location for this picture than their homeland, .

She Wood opens with notes of neroli, lemon and jasmine. Then, the accords dissipate into flowery tones of violet, musk and heliotrope, to prepare the senses for the base notes, composed from amber, cedar and vetiver. The dominant notes are violet and cedar however the sensation is better experienced by sampling it on your skin.

The bottle of She Wood is manufactured from the soft wood of North American walnut tree, accompanied by a square shaped glass having a soft pink color, which appears to be an excellent exercise for the eye. She Wood is aimed at refined and elegant women who are not scarred to play with their femininity.
