Sensi was presented by Giorgio Armani in 2002 as an oriental woody feminine fragrance, developed by perfumers Alberto Morillas and Harry Fremont. Sadly for me, I stumble across Sensi in 2009, precisely when a friend of mine came with it as a gift for his girlfriend. Later, the girl turned into his wife, while I discovered the essence of this fragrance, characterized by the vision of Giorgio Armani who imagined Sensi “for the women you remember rather than for those you simply notice”. The scent is perfectly embodied by the gifted, sophisticated and loving woman who is a melting pot of Eastern and Western civilization.
The ingredients that compose Sensi were carefully selected in order bestow upon it a special character. The opening is a blend of Kaffir lime, acacia Farnese and jasmine; the floral accord of jasmine extends in the heart, in which are joining the notes of barley and almond. The sensual trail leaves a dominant accord of benzoin mixed with palisander wood. Because of its oriental aroma, Sensi is strongly related to Giorgio Armani olfactory preferences.
The bottle of Sensi exhibits rounded shapes which bring to mind a feminine silhouetted dressed in an impeccable gown. The golden letters that were employed in the brand and perfume’s name are contrasting with the transparency of the glass and the yellow color of the liquid. The metallic golden stopper evokes the precious gold and its scarcity. Plus, the video advertisement which features the model Erin Wasson in a red dress, while the fragrance represents the main character.
Overall, Sensi is a correct fragrance that deserves your attention. (Personally, I have a slight problem with the dominant golden chromatic of the perfume which labels it as very conspicuous).
