Fragrance Review

Introduced in the year 1999, is a fragrance, developed by perfumer . Given that I’m not so into , I discovered this perfume 4 years ago, being intrigued from the first moment by its shape of the bottle, that look everything but masculine in my conception. However, according to the description from the official website “ is a strictly classical Fougere, very masculine, audacious not to say ambiguous”. And it’s exactly this confusing facet which confers its personality to .

The fragrance will appeal to the free men who live their lives by an individual set of values. As a consequence, they have discovered that in the most intense character of masculinity lies a subtle femininity. Rochas Man is a mixture of audacity and ambiguity. The scent opens on , resulted from the combination between, green leaves, lavender and Artemisia. In no more than 20 minutes, its fruity side is balanced by a floral facet that represents a blend of jasmine, Lily-of-the-Valley, orris and milk. The gourmand base encompasses accords of sweet vanilla, coffee, amber and . Testing Rochas Man revealed to me a well-behaved character, however because I was not attracted by the bottle, I left it aside.

Intended to be a fusion of classicism and modernity, the shape of the bottle that holds Rochas Man could be assimilated to a modern dagger. Its designers and Michale Forster employed frosted glass and brushed steel to convey their message regarding this intriguing form. The packaging box exhibits a mild violet shade, complementary to the pale chromatic of the bottle. Overall, Rochas Man could define a man with strong personality, with a judgment based exclusively on his own opiniona, regardless of what others might think.
