Ricci Ricci Nina Ricci – A Perfume like a Fairy Tale
This scent, launched by Nina Ricci in 2009 looks adorable and this is not only due to the chosen chromatic. Ricci Ricci is a chypre floral fragrance for women, developed by 2 perfumers Aurelien Guichard and Jacques Huclier, in which the surprise comes in the interesting shape of the bottle. The fuchsia-purple color of the bottle that contains Ricci Ricci is at least intriguing. Moreover, the metallic ribbon on the top that serves as a stopper doubles the curiosity, and you feel compelled to test it.
Naturally, I had to obey my instinct and went to a Sephora for spraying a blotter with this new perfume from Nina Ricci. Even tough personally I’m not a fan of this French fashion house (they released only 4 fragrances for men until now!), I had always heard only good things in relation to their perfumes. Therefore, I thought I might make an opinion for myself.
In the beginning, you will recognize the citrus note of bergamot and the presence of rhubarb. Then, there’s the heart that follows, with a soft floral note that quite pleasing, with accords of datura, tuberose and tincture of rose. For the trail, the combination of sandalwood and patchouli make an interesting conclusion.
The video advertisement manages to go with the playful character of the fragrance, featuring the Canadian model Jessica Stam in a fantastic Paris, in which this super heroine leads her thrilling life. Overall all, Ricci Ricci is a nice and decent fragrance that matches the style of young women: glamorous and urban.
