When I first sniffed Romance Silver it was 6 years ago and I was in a phase in which I was fanatic of every RL fragrance. These days I like pretty much all their fragrances, with minor exceptions (the Big Pony Collection) and I am waiting with anxiety all the new launches.
Romance Silver was introduced by Ralph Lauren in 2005, as a masculine woody floral musk fragrance, a flanker to 1999’s Romance for Men. Compared to the original, which was aimed at a more mature audience, this fresh edition is geared toward a younger customer, who looks always elegant. The person that wears Romance Silver is embodied by the seducer type with a clean self-confidence feeling, but most important in touch with the classic values of the brand.
The construction of Romance Silver revolves around violet and vodka notes, the latter employed in an innovative blend that renders the scent a vibrant character. The perfume begins on a citrus blend of tangerine and bergamot juxtaposed by vodka and cypress. As Romance Silver moves into the mid development you will perceive the distinct aroma of tobacco blossom, combined with violet and nutmeg. This is the stage that builds the long lasting impression. For the dry down, a mix of Guaiac wood and white musk confers the trail that develops pleasant on the skin.
The bottle that holds Romance Silver is a re-interpretation of the classic Romance for Men, with a rectangular shape, transparent glass and topped by a silver metallic cap, as a suggestion to the perfume’s name. The packaging box preserves the color scheme of the bottle, with silver hue and the printings coming in white.
