Ralph Lauren Polo Explorer – A Sophisticated Fragrance for Brave Spirits
The prototype of American classic style, Ralph Lauren Corporation represents an assurance of quality for each and every one of their marketed products. And probably against all my respect for this fashion house, I have only bought (for myself!) one Ralph Lauren perfume: Polo Black. Therefore, you imagine my interest back in 2007, when they launched a new fragrance, called Polo Explorer. This new masculine scent belongs to the woody aromatic olfactory group and appeared as a result of the collaboration between 2 perfumers: Honorine Blanc and Harry Fremont.
The description on the official website mentions that “Inspired by life without boundaries, Polo Explorer is a fragrance for men with a thirst for adventure and discovery” and from a careful examination of the chosen ingredients, you will realize that this is the way in which Ralph Lauren invite us for travel across the world. In my case, the journey began at the moment of spraying Polo Explorer onto my skin, which revealed some interesting facets. The opening is built with energizing citrus, conferred by the South African mandarin and Sicilian bergamot. Then, it followed Russian coriander, wrapped around elegant leather, to discover in the end the Cuban mahogany mixed with Australian sandalwood and Java patchouli.
The video advertisement presents a dynamic story in which the selected face for Polo Explorer, English model Rory Marshall travels into remote locations. The conclusion is that Polo Explorer did not entered right away on my “to buy” list, because something else caught my attention at that time, but this fragrance happened to be the specific type of perfume that I would wear in any occasion.
