In spite of the fact that Polo Blue was presented by Ralph Lauren in 2003, I only managed to sniff it 5 year later, in the spring of 2008. The fragrance captures a masculine aromatic fougere, developed by two perfumers: Carlos Benaim and Christophe Laudamiel. As a consequence, Polo Blue is dedicated to the self-assured young man, who knows how to appreciate the things of beauty.
If my favorite fragrance from Ralph Lauren is Polo Modern Reserve, then Polo Classic and Polo Blue are subsequently on my list in the event of a possible acquisition. The perfume is like a clear blue sensation for a true classic character. The video advertisement associates the scent with sailing, a combination that is totally understandable when we analyze the chromatic of the perfume.
The construction of Polo Blue provides a feeling of warm and freshness. The opening smells fruity, in a blend of Cavaillon melon, mandarin orange and cucumber. Later, in the mid development, the heart turns into sweeter, with a mixture of geranium, sage absolute and basil. For the dry down, the light woods, musk and suede are shaping a warm and personal signature.
The bottle that holds Polo Blue is a replica of the classic Polo bottle, except in here the employed blue shade confers to the perfume a sensation of freedom and happiness, like a clear blue sky. The logo and the stopper sport the silver chromatic, which adds to the elegance touch of the perfume.
