Even though I had an initial reticence, it seems that Prada has somehow managed to capture my attention during the last period of time. Amber Pour Homme is one scent that aroused my interest but there are more, and among these, there is L’Eau Ambrée, a fragrance introduced by Prada in September 2009. Belonging to the oriental floral olfactory group and developed by perfumer Daniela Roche-Andrier, L’Eau Ambrée is, according to the description from the press release “a graceful presence, empowering but never demanding”.
In fact, L’Eau Ambrée is the most recent release from the fragrances based on amber introduced by Prada during the last years: Prada Eau de Parfum, Prada Intense, Prada Eau Tendre and Prada Amber Pour Homme. Last Saturday, while I was checking the new releases in my favorite Sephora store, my eyes were captured by this scent, and since I had a vague recollection of its smell, I asked the help of my wife for sampling it.
L’Eau Ambrée opens on a refreshing blend of citruses and lemon, followed in no more than 20 minutes by a heart that encompasses an intense aroma of rose, juxtaposed to sensual patchouli. Then, after a couple of hours, L’Eau Ambrée transforms itself into the theme of this structure, the warm amber in a combination that contains as well accords of opoponax and sweet vanilla.
L’Eau Ambrée comes in a packaging box colored in white, while the flask has a contrasting black hue and an elegant rectangular shape. As with other perfumes, the name Prada appears on the box written in something that looks like a clothing label. The video advertisement is focused on the exclusive character of the perfume.
