Established in 2002 by Pierre Guillaume, a former chemist with experience in the cosmetic industry, Parfumerie Generale is a niche perfume line. Demonstrating an innovative thinking, he imagined the acronym “PG” for providing a name for his creations, in which the letters stand for both the company’s name and his own.
I was looking rather with reticence the bottles with numbered labels until I solicited a scent based on leather from one of my favorites artisanal perfumery stores, occasion on which the sales assistant recommended me Parfumerie Generale. PG03 Cuir Venenum was developed by perfumer Pierre Guillaume and is a shared woody floral musk fragrance in which the dominant note is represented by the aforementioned sensual accord however this is the type of soft, exclusive leather, which is able to generate erotic sensations for some persons.
The listed notes of PG03 Cuir Venenum comprise: absolute of orange blossom, myrrh, citrus, cedar, coconut, honeyed musk and of course, leather. This carefully blended composition creates a captivating sensuality which may be shared by both men and women, in an alliance that is absolutely enchanting on one’s skin. The conclusion of the test: I liked so much, that I would have bought it right away if there weren’t other more important priorities on my “to buy” perfume list.
PG03 Cuir Venenum comes in a bottle that became a signature for Parfumerie Generale’s scented products. The sober shape with perfectly cut edges is made from transparent glass and reveals a golden shaded liquid, which brings to mind something exclusivist. The black label exhibits a round shape over which the name of the perfume and its corresponding number are printed in white. Overall, PG03 Cuir Venenum will please the fans of leather, which is one essential accord to own for your perfume wardrobe.
