Those of you that come back here constantly will certainly remember that, on the occasion of reviewing Paco Rabanne’s 1 Million, I said some pretty bad things about it. Please don’t judge me for that, this is my opinion after all, but, as restitution for the many fans of this perfume, you might want to continue read this.
Since I found out about the most recent launch from Paco Rabanne called Paco Rabanne 1 Million Intense, I decided that I should give it a fair trial and that I was not going to let myself influenced over the hard feelings for its predecessor. Having this in mind, I approach to the Sephora shelves with novelties, over which a golden hue was supreme.
Then, after spraying a couple of whiffs on my wrist I started to analyze Paco Rabanne 1 Million Intense’s composition. What I was about to find out is that, subsequent to a very pleasant citrus opening, it continued with a pungent heart, in which a sensual accord of leather was perceivable. After more than one hour, the composition dried down into an aroma of woody tones, juxtaposed to hint of an exquisite floral accord.
The video commercial employs once again model Dree Hemingway, great-grand daughter of famous Ernest in a short film that highlights once more the desirable asset of this fragrance. As for the bottle, the shape of the now classic “ingot” designed by Noe Duchaufour-Lawrence was adorned with the wording “INTENSE”, apparently attached with rivets. 1 Million Intense is an oriental woody, with listed notes that include: blood orange, cardamom, pepper, saffron, rose, neroli, cinnamon, leather, patchouli, sandalwood and iris.
I’m not sure if 1 Million Intense is going to match the huge success of the original, but one thing I know for certain: if someone would give me a bottle, I would not mind wearing it on different occasions.
