When you want something floral, but different from the crowd, you should turn to Narciso Rodriguez. The 2003’s For Her defined some high standards in feminine perfumery , that’s why I’m always glad when I realize the new one are keeping up with the classic.
Arrived on the market in January 2013, L’Eau For Her is a flanker to the iconic and already mentioned scent from Narciso Rodriguez. Dubbed as a chypre floral, the notes for this freshest iteration include: cyclamen, jasmine, Lily-of-the-valley, musk, patchouli and amber.
I had the pleasure of sampling L’Eau For Her recently and me and my wife liked it so much that we decided over, as our next acquisition. In spite of the fact that For Her was placed for a long time on her “to buy” list, this new perfume proved to be exactly what she needed for the upcoming period.
As an aside, after all this excitement, I should tell you that I was not enthusiast the first time I saw it in Douglas, most likely because the past flankers did not seemed to replicate accurately the original essence. However this time, it was all there. The opening in L’Eau For Her comes from a good dosage of floral accords that are preparing the ground for some future sensations. Next up is a delicate and sensual heart of musk that leads into a woody dry down, highlighted by notes of patchouli and warm amber.
With respect to the bottle, the color scheme employed this time was that from the Eau de Parfum’s version of For Her, with the pinkish hue turned paler. Completed by a transparent and elegant stopper and a matching packaging box, the image exuded style and elegance. One last thing: I don’t know if you’re already a fan of Narciso Rodriguez For Her, but you should try this latest fragrance from the brand, which, as of this writing, comes the closest to its predecessor.
