For Him Musk from Narciso Rodriguez is a masculine fragrance that arrived on the market on September 1st 2009, as a more intense and seductive version of the original Narciso Rodriguez for Him, launched in 2007. I was a fan of the first masculine perfume from Narciso Rodriguez, until I met this one, and although it convinced me completely I never had the chance to own a bottle for myself. The main accords in For Him Musk are represented by the musky, powdery and woody range and if the original was meant to prove that it may be another direction in today’s perfumery, beside the usual citruses, this one is intended to transform you into a presence that will define your style. Because this perfume says two words about it: elegance and seduction.

According to the official statements, this new woody floral musk fragrance is “a tribute to musk” and “a powerful sensuality that lingers”. The composition is centered on musk, which is (obviously!) the dominant note, refreshed with powerful floral essences of red berries and iris. I love musk and the perfumes that are based on this wonderful animalistic note, but it is also the iris flower that gives it consistency, turning this essence into something unique.

I associate the person that wears For Him Musk with a classy suit that looks perfect on the wearer, but when he needs to express his personality he puts on this essence lavishly, because I believe that this classic fragrance from Narciso Rodriguez is that cry for individualism in a world of black suits that is associated with uniformity.

For Him Musk comes in a bottle that reminds of the original, except this time the structure was refined by adding a silvery chromatic to the opacity of the original. The perfectly cut shapes with rounded edges offer stability for the man that uses For Him Musk, and the minimalistic design add its grain of sand for perfecting the style of this perfume.
