Starwalker is a classic woody spicy masculine fragrance that arrived on the market in the autumn of 2005 and was developed by perfumer Michel Almairac. Conceived as an olfactory voyage for the men who feel that they are able to touch the sky, the structure of Starwalker revolves around the distinctive note of bamboo.
The opening in Starwalker is a combined shot of citruses: bergamot, mandarin orange and bamboo. Then, as the scent advances slowly into the mid development phase, the spicy facet is revealed, in a combination of ginger, nutmeg and elemi resin. The closing phase is bringing forward the woody character, in a mix of sandalwood, cedar, white musk and amber.
The name of this fragrance is a tribute to the famous Montblanc line of pens and this is reflected by its carefully planed presentation. Starwalker comes in a bottle which is made from a transparent glass, revealing a soft blue liquid and topped by a metallic stopper that looks exactly like a watch crown, from the Montblanc’s equivalent line of products. The video commercial presents a man who is left with a single target: to keep on walking.
I got a sniff on Starwalker 4 years ago, due to the fact that this was unavailable for me at the time of its launch. Behaving like a pleasant masculine fragrance, Starwalker is worth a shot however I should probably tell you that this is not my Montblanc’s favorite fragrance (which is Legend!).
