Miller et Bertaux A quiet morning – A trip to India

Miller et Bertaux A quiet morning_100ml_EdP

Fragrance Review

The name “A quiet morning” seems unusual, similar to the all the creations from , the French fashion house. Choosing as motto the phrase: “from out trips, with love”, the fragrances created by and are conceiving  an olfactory trip to the territory that serve as their source of inspiration, in a subtle paraphrase to the 1963 Bond classic: “From Russia with Love”.

A quiet morning was introduced in 2008 as a unisex aromatic spicy fragrance that features notes of saffron and turmeric. I sampled “A quiet morning” while I was testing “Green, geeen and green” and I must say that both are remarkable fragrance. The fact is that I never thought of sampling these, if it weren’t for the suggestion of the sale assistant, when I briefly mentioned that I love the perfumes based on incense.

The opening from A quiet morning represents a blend of turmeric and saffron, two precious spices that are setting up the atmosphere for the heart of the fragrance. Then, in about 20 minutes, I perceived the accord of neroli in the mid development, joined by palm blossom and . In a couple of hours, the dry down revealed its woody facet, in a combination of and cedarwood.

The presentation of Miller et Bartaux fragrances is something fascinating, and I’m not talking here about the common shape bottle that holds A quiet morning. The transparent bottle reveals a colorless liquid with the consistency of water, but it’s the packaging box that holds the spotlight. A white ribbon is binding a grey accessory, creating a beautiful image that increases the attraction for this perfume. Overall, A quiet morning is a captivating fragrance, aimed at the special souls in search for more than just a perfume.
