Twenty two years ago, my father received on his birthday a present that fascinated me. I was young back then, and obviously my knowledge on fragrance was limited, but I remember with emotion Lomani Pour Homme, a fragrance that was quite popular on those days.
Lomani is a brand established in 1986, belonging to a French perfume company called Parfums Parour of Paris. The most successful product of the house, Lomani Pour Homme arrived on the market one year later, in 1987 and until today it has somehow managed to preserve its appeal in the category of “value for money”. Because the company’s products are not sophisticated (in spite of their Parisian origin!) and the slogan used is “Just Be a Star”. According to the data available, their most recent product was Ignition, a masculine fragrance introduced in 2001.
The construction of Lomani Pour Homme opens on a refreshing citrus blend, in which the accords of tangerine, lemon and lavender were employed. Then, after a period of approximately 20 minutes, the heart is available, in the shape of a mixed aroma containing juniper, patchouli, coriander, cedar and vetiver. The final part is the moment in which Lomani Pour Homme turns to a woody facet, embodied by aromas of oakmoss and warm amber.
The flacon that contains this fragrance has a shape that to me is reminiscent of Azzaro Pour Homme, the 1978’s classic, however for this instance with an image that is a little unpolished. The dark blue glass is contrasting with the black stopper and the packaging box that sport a black-gray color scheme. Overall, Lomani Pour Homme is an interesting fragrance that comes for a ridiculous small price.
