Arrived to the fashion industry in 1983 with a collection of womenswear, Lolita Lempicka represents the name chosen by the French designer Josiane Maryse Pividal. The source of inspiration for the name was the classic novel by Vladimir Nabokov, “Lolita” and the Polish Art Deco painter Tamara de Lempicka. These days, the fashion house of Lolita Lempicka is mostly known for its perfumes, produced as a joint-venture with Amore Pacific Group.
The first fragrance of the group, Lolita Lempicka for women was introduced in 1997, as a floral fruity gourmand scent, developed by perfumer Annick Menardo. It was approximately the same time when Thierry Mugler was presenting Angel, which inaugurated a new tendency in the perfumery, that of gourmand scents and even though in 2010 it was re-branded to Lolita Lempicka Le Premier Parfum, this fragrance proved to be a huge success from the beginning.
Lolita Lempicka for women was imagined as a structure founded on licorice and in contrast with anise and violet. The fragrance opens with floral notes combined with citrus and the majesty of wood: violet, ivy, star anise, lemon, pineapple, mahogany. The mid development arrives as a mixture of floral accords, with the theme of the perfume, licorice, for which Annick Menardo has selected the softness of jasmine, amaryllis, iris and Lily-of-the-Valley; this phase is completed with notes of vetiver. Over time, all this notes are fading away and are replaced by tobacco leaf, musk, praline, heliotrope, vanilla, almond and Tonka bean.
The marketing campaign for Lolita Lempicka for women features a story in which although a young girl appears, the attention is focused on the bottle, having a shape that resembles an apple, “A forbidden fruit that looks good enough to eat” according to the official website. Lolita Lempicka declared that “I drew on my distant memories to recreate this intense moment when a girl is waiting to become a woman.”
Lolita Lempicka for women is the ideal signature fragrance, appropriate for any time of the year, which will delight you with the captivating smell of licorice.
