Loewe Pour Homme – The Spanish Passion

Fragrance Review

reminds me of the 1998’s iconic , not only due to the fact that I sniffed the 2 fragrances in the same period, but also due to the fact that both of them have a certain fascination, a characteristic of something that came out from passion. If I needed to select only one, it will have to be a very hard decision, because a selection is hard to make and I would love to wear them alternatively.

Introduced in 1974, Pour Homme is the first masculine fragrance launched by the famous goods producer, succeeding their debut in perfumery, which occurred in 1972 with L de Loewe. The fragrance is aimed at the man who is always elegant and has an optimistic character. This scent is a timeless classic with an extremely pleasant facet and long lasting persistence.

The top notes from Loewe Pour Homme bring forward an exquisite blend of bergamot, lemon and lavender, offset by petitgrain and rosemary notes. Then, in no more than 20 minutes, the heart is unveiled, in a combination of geranium, clary sage, , patchouli and vetiver. Mid development has a warmer side and is paving the way for the dry down, built around notes of amber, , leather, Tonka bean and oakmoss.

The perfectly balanced structure of Loewe Pour Homme befits from the pungent citrus opening, which passes through a subtle mid development, to continue with an explosion in the dry down. The precious liquid is contained in a flask that represents the source of inspiration for the classic Esencia, with a cylindrical shaped bottle topped by a metallic stopper and adorned with a brown leather cap, engraved with Loewe’s logo.
