Introduced by L’Occitane en Provence in November 2010 as an element in their cosmetic line bearing the eponymous name, Fleur Chérie is a floral fragrance for women. In spite of the fact that the fragrance did not made interested in the beginning, later I discovered a pleasant perfume with the help of my wife. Subsequent to testing the fragrance on her wrist, the result revealed a soft feminine fragrance intended as an interesting homage to the orange flower, a common presence in the Mediterranean area, a region from where L’Occitane derived its inspiration.
The first accords that I perceived in Fleur Chérie were the citrus, mixed with green notes, neroli and cassis. Then, in less than half an hour, the dominant orange blossom made its appearance in the mid development, subdued by an enchanting mixture with jasmine. For the dry down, I detected a blend of musk, cedar and patchouli.
The bottle that holds Fleur Chérie exhibits a retro look, similar to the 1930s. The round shape is fine completed by the transparent glass which reveals the soft orange color of the liquid and the orange blossom pattern engraved on the surface of the glass. The name of the perfume is also engraved in order to provide a touch of authenticity to the image.
Fleur Chérie does not pretend to be something pretentious: it’s a nice floral scent with highlight on orange, ideal for the summer days and casual occasions. Its pleasant orange aroma is going to accompany you for the whole day.
