Last Saturday I entered an L’Occitane en Provence store because I wanted to sample their new Delices des Fruits, a unisex citrus gourmand perfume, arrived on the market in 2011. As an alternative (the scent was unfortunately not available!) I was presented by the sales assistant another perfume called Citrus Verbena Summer, this time a citrus aromatic, but also shared fragrance, based on the lemon verbena notes that confers it a refreshing and invigorating aroma in any moment of the day.
Citrus Verbena Summer was introduced in 2006 and was followed by two flankers: 2008’s Citrus Verbena Intense and 2009’s Citrus Verbena Summer Fragrance. This fresh eau de toilette in available in a package developed especially for travelling purposes (20 ml), which makes it the essential accessory at the time of packing your suitcase.
Citrus Verbena Summer begins on a pungent blend of grapefruit and lemon, which is sufficiently dosed to leave an intense sillage. After no more than 10 minutes, the heart of the perfume is revealed, in the shape of lemon verbena, responsible for rendering to this construction an unmistakable character. Following a couple of hours, the aroma of cedar envelops the atmosphere for a moderate lasting trail.
Overall, Citrus Verbena Summer is a fragrance that acts as a refresher, and might also constitute an excellent gift suggestion that can not possibly go wrong, for a person who is not that familiar to you.
