I was curious to test this woody spicy fragrance for men, launched in 2004, given that all the reviews were more than favorable. And what I’ve discovered goes fine with the other reviews. L’Instant de Guerlain pour Homme represents the masculine counterpart of 2003’s L’Instant de Guerlain and was developed by perfumer Beatrice Piquet.
According to the description on official website, “L’Instant de Guerlain pour Homme reveals a vision of a man captured in a memorable moment suspended in time that was celebrated for her in L’Instant de Guerlain. It is an instant that is decisive and deliberate, an instant when his initiative makes the moment unique… This woody sparkling, seductive perfume was composed of contrasts.” And because the perfumes of our universe are extensions of our memories, you are allowed to travel in time with this creation from Guerlain.
L’Instant de Guerlain pour Homme opens with citrus notes and floral accords, in which bergamot, lemon and grapefruit are combined with jasmine and spiced with anise. The mid development contains elegant sandalwood, cedar and lavender, mixed with cacao, tea and patchouli. For the base notes, the elegance is perfected with natural musk and hibiscus seed. The projection on the skin is perfect, making L’Instant de Guerlain the type of scent for the time when you are dressed casual, but want to add that special elegance to your style.
This fragrance deserves its spot in the category of Guerlain’s classic perfumes. The bottle inspires elegance; the transparent gentle ribbed glass is a perfect match for the black masculine stopper. The beige color of the liquid reminds of the precious time that can not be captured, even for an instant. However with L’Instant de Guerlain pour Homme you will be able to capture the elegance of the moment.
