L’Eau d’Issey Florale is a flanker to 1992’s L’Eau d’Issey and represents “the purest expression of the simple, natural beauty of flowers”, as described on the official website. The scent arrived on the market in February last year, as a creation of the famous perfumer Alberto Morillas, who conceived a floral feminine perfume “like a breaking rosebud in the course of flowering”.
The opening in L’Eau d’Issey Florale contains a good dose of the delicate rosebud, juxtaposed to a mixture of mandarin, green notes and aquatic notes. As the scent advances into the mid development stage, the rose accords becomes more prominent, in a blend that includes orange blossom and spicy notes for bringing a balance to this composition. The aromatic rose lingers until dry down and even further, while the base notes are white woods and musk.
The 2 main themes in L’Eau d’Issey Florale are represented by the rose and the water. This mix between an essential element and the delicate floral accord will please the romantic woman in search of something pure and passionate, embodied by this very scent. The flask that contains L’Eau d’Issey Florale is a re-interpretation of the pyramidal shape introduced by Issey Miyake 20 years ago with L’Eau d’Issey, except the color scheme, which comes as a soft pink this time. Moreover, exactly like the case with the original flask, the glass is transparent and topped by a stopper, decorated with a semi-transparent pink sphere. The press release speaks about the fact that “the exquisite floral scent creates an unassuming but distinguished olfactory world”, in a way that remains faithful to the original creation.
