Le Male Jean Paul Gaultier Review

Le Male Jean Paul Gaultier

Fragrance Review

Since its introduction on the market, Le Male became instantly a huge success. Therefore, at that time the fragrance was used by everybody and this was only partially due to the image built with the aggressive . Judging by these facts and also because I am, most of the time, a very selective person, I decided pretty late to sample Le Male on my skin. And the conclusion I reached was predictive and surprising at the same time.

Launched in 1995, 2 years after its legendary feminine counterpart, Classique, Le Male was created by perfumer . This perfume has a very fresh character and the listed ingredients substantiate this assertion. The top notes combine mint, cardamom, bergamot, lavender and ; the heart makes a combination from caraway, cinnamon and orange blossom and finally the base notes are constructed around amber, sandalwood, vanilla, cedarwood and Tonka bean. The power character is conferred by the fresh mint, the tradition is symbolized with lavender and vanilla gives affection and kindness to this fragrance.

From the first look you realize that this is a ’s creation, since it is similar to its feminine version, exhibiting a , instead of the beautifully shaped female body. The different shades of blue used for the chromatic are constructing the powerful image of the . That is also transmitted in the ad campaign, which features a tattooed sailor with strong arms.

The conclusion is that Le Male deserves your attention, like a perfume that women find it irresistible and conceived in contrasts: strong and sensual, fresh and mild, traditional and bold, with the clear intention to surprise you.
