The masculine counterpart of the popular Venezia from Laura Biagiotti arrived on the market in 1995, three years after the introduction of the feminine version. I remember with nostalgia those times, when my knowledge in relation to fragrance was very limited, and as a result I was easily enthusiastic in relation to any scent from the mainstream perfumery.
Coming after one of the most successful fragrance of the company, Venezia Uomo had a difficult task in its shoulders, which managed to fulfill with honors. The fragrance belongs to the oriental woody olfactory group and has a composition infused with green notes and citruses, which makes it ideal for the spring and summer time of the year.
The opening in Venezia Uomo is perceived right after spraying a few whiffs on the skin. At this time the notes of lavender and bergamot are the most prominent, offset by accords of tarragon and lemon. Then, as the perfume enters mid development and the top notes subside, the replacement comes from a soft floral blend that includes rose, jasmine, carnation and geranium. After more than one hour, everything dries down to a calm and more personal facet that leaves a pleasant trail on your skin. The listed base note encompasses notes of cedar, oakmoss, patchouli and Tonka bean.
The flacon that holds Laura Venezia Uomo is simple and exhibits nice curves that bring to the mind its seductive trait. The video commercial features a couple spending intimate moment in the city that was the source of inspiration for this perfume.
