As a flanker to 1997’s Lanvin L’Homme, the new fragrance called Lanvin L’Homme Sport arrived on the market 12 years later. The woody aromatic masculine perfume launched in April 2009 is fronted by Spanish professional tennis player Rafael Nadal and according to the official press release it is “a concentrate of pure energy” and an “aristocratic ease”.
The official website introduces Lanvin L’Homme Sport with the tagline: “A suburban man with place to go” and this reflect the personality of the man who wears it. Moreover, the “texture Cologne that knows what it wants” is prepared in order to offer a well deserved refreshing sensation, after hours of intense physical activity.
The careful selection of ingredients, that has always been a characteristic of Lanvin parfums makes it ideal for the summer time of the year and together with the bottle, manufactured from an opaque glass and having a deep-sea blue color, renders to Lanvin L’Homme Sport a “soft feel that reinforces the impression of energizing freshness”. This image is also about the Lanvin famous elegance.
The olfactory structure of Lanvin L’Homme Sport starts off with a blend of citruses and spicy accords: lemon and Italian bergamot, bitter orange, pepper and petitgrain. The function of this mix is to convey a sensation of freshness upon the person who wears it. Then, as the top notes subside, the fragrance enters the mid development phase, in which the facet becomes dynamic. The accords of sage and lavender provide the medium for an aromatic sensuality, which is intensified later in the dry down by the sensual Indonesian patchouli coupled with the aroma of musk.
