This perfume reminds me of happy memories given that Booster by Lacoste was my second perfume, received as a gift in the summer of 2000. This clean, simple, citrus aromatic fragrance for men arrived on the market in 1996, aimed at men with ages between 15 and 25 years. Therefore, Booster represents an incentive for the daily life.
During the period when I employed Booster, I was very fond of citrus fragrances; later on, after discovering more facets of the perfumery world, I admit that citrus fragrances still represent an interest for me, except those are not my favorites anymore.
From the first spray of Booster, I detected the strong notes of lemon from the top notes, in a combination with menthol, peppermint and eucalyptol. After 30 minutes, the mid development revealed its citrus character, in a mixture of grapefruit and orange boosted with spices and aromatic notes. In the end, all dried down to an elegant trail, a blend of woods and musk.
The bottle of Booster, designed by Xavier Rosseau, exhibits a cylindrical shape, being manufactured from frosted glass, without a stopper, except a metallic green spray cap. It is an example of simple design that delivers an exclusive function: the image of the sporty fragrance that bursts with energy.
Booster embodies the sporting life, a stimulating fragrance that offers you the power to carry on the daily routine, like a shot of vitality for spicing up your life. This scent is perfect for the younger men, up to 25 years old.
