RSVP was introduced by Kenneth Cole in 2007 as a woody floral musk masculine fragrance, developed by perfumer Frank Voelkl. The name of the perfume represents an acronym coming from the French expression “répondez s’il vous plaît” and it means “please respond”. This invitation launched by Kenneth exhibits an interesting contrast between its accords, and when I tested it last year it offered me a pleasant surprise, coming from the arrangement of the woody and floral accords.
RSVP opens on a heady blend of spices and citruses, represented by pepper, grapefruit and lavender. This first sensation is meant to awake your senses for the upcoming phases. Later, in the mid development, the structure turns into an exquisite floral seasoned with a hint of wood. The dominant ingredient here is orchid, subdued by iris note, after which the entire composition is swathed in cedar. For the final stage, the designer prepared a warm aroma of sandalwood and cashmere wood, joined by the elegant patchouli and juxtaposed by vetiver.
The fragrance is fronted by American musician, singer and actor Jon Bon Jovi, who proves to be an excellent choice, given that he incarnates the spirit of the scent perfectly. RSVP comes in bottle that sports a masculine and elegant shape, manufactured from a dark cognac shade glass. The packaging box is made out of recyclable wooden box, which is milled manually and stamped with perfume’s and brand’s name. RSVP is an ideal fragrance for the middle age man, who adopts an elegant life style and enjoys every moment of his life.
