Arrived on the market 2006, as one of the debut fragrances from the newly launched (at that time!) niche perfumery house founded by Romano Ricci, the grandson of Nina Ricci, Lady Vengeance is a feminine chypre floral. The scent was presented at the same tie with Miss Charming, were both developed by the famous perfumer Francis Kurkdjian and were followed 2 years later by an enchanting aroma, Citizen Queen, a perfume which is still due on my wife’s “to buy” list, since 2 years ago.
I was fascinated at the time of making my first contact with the brand because of its interesting image (the perfume bottles, very fancy, were designed by Sylvie de France) and then by their beguiling aroma, which is able to capture your senses, as a modern Shakespearean heroine would do. Because, this is the declared source of inspiration, and the official website describes Lady Vengeance as a “fragrance of a Lady for whom the art of seduction bares no secret”.
One of the most pleasant things in relation to this scent is that during its entire development stages, it is capable of creating a deep and complex trail, in which the majestic Bulgarian rose plays the main part, while the other listed notes include sensual patchouli note and sweet vanilla. As a result, Lady Vengeance is one of the feminine perfumes with a very pleasant and intense persistence. The black colored flacon that holds the fragrance is an epitome of elegance and style, rendering an image that could be described as classic mixed with sophisticated.
