Since I was not enough impressed with the first perfume from Jimmy Choo (arrived on the market in February last year and named simply after the company’s founder) I thought that I least this new version, called Jimmy Choo Eau de Toilette and launched this February, will redeem the olfactory reputation of this iconic luxury lifestyle brand.
Developed by perfumer Olivier Polge and classified as a floral fruity feminine fragrance, Jimmy Choo Eau de Toilette is built around the exotic Tiger orchid accords, which is featured in the heart. With a close to average persistence and a acceptable sillage, this new scent will please the stylish women who will consider it as an essential accessory to go with other goods from the same brand.
The opening in Jimmy Choo Eau de Toilette is embodied by a green note, offset by a blend of ginger and pear, which is fading quite fast, and when this happens, it turns into a floral heart, imbued with accords of tea rose and Tiger orchid. Preserved for the big finale, the note of cedarwood was juxtaposed to other woody accords, in order to balance this structure into a warm base filed with sensuality.
The bottle that holds Jimmy Choo Eau de Toilette exhibits the same spherical and multi-facetted shape, with the glass that has a color scheme closer to violet when compared to the original and topped by a rectangular stopper that comes in black. The packaging box showcases a snakeskin pattern and is available in the same shade as the bottle.
Overall, I must sat that I had greater expectations from Jimmy Choo Eau de Toilette, which proved to be the type of well-behaved scent that could make a fine gift suggestion.
