Fragrance Review

This year versions for the popular perfumes L’Eau d’Issey were introduced in March, under the names L’Eau d’Issey Summer 2012 and L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Summer 2012. And given that the masculine version is one of my old favorites (I bought it almost 10 years ago, however never renew it!), this is going to be the focus of this post.

The summer called L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Summer 2012 is described as an fragrance appropriate for these torrid days of summer. This is a scent that I wanted to sniff since the day I read about its upcoming launch and hopefully it did not disappointed me.

L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Summer 2012 preserves the aquatic character that turned the original into such an enchanting perfume, while spicing up the heart just a little bit, in order to confer it a more refreshing character. With an opening that relies on citruses (yuzu and mandarin) as the only ingredients, L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Summer 2012 advances quite quickly into the mid development. At this time, you will be able to detect the spicy cardamom aroma coupled with sage and while these notes subside (which is happening in about 1 hour and a half), the aroma of vetiver is available, juxtaposed to amber accord.

The flacon that contains L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Summer 2012 comes adorned with a palm branch and overall, it is an interesting perfume, to watch out for in the next period.
