The fragrance line for women from Tommy Hilfiger needed a reinvention insofar it had no major launch since 2007’s Dreaming. As a result, the American woman’s image in perfumery is embodied by Hilfiger Woman, a chypre floral fragrance which arrived on the market in May 2010. And until now, we might say that this new perfume from Tommy Hilfiger (which was followed by Peach Blossom in 2011!) could have the similar effect of “Hilfiger Est. 1985” back in 2008.
Hilfiger Woman opens with a heady mix of citruses (from Mandarin orange, pink grapefruit and Italian bergamot) and raspberry. The composition stays long enough on the skin, to be replaced in the mid development by enchanting floral accords built with Morrocan jasmine, magnolia, pink Yulan and Egyptian Lily. For the dry down, the trail leaves aromas of creamy vanilla, elegant sandalwood, patchouli and vetiver.
The bottle of Hilfiger Woman exhibits the shape of a parallelepiped, having perfectly cut edges and adorned by a cylindrical silver cap with the TH monogram and a ribbon, exhibiting navy blue, light blue and white stripes. It should be mentioned though, that the ribbon in only available in the 50 ml version!
The video advertisement features a quite long story (2:08!) shot in full color, in which a young girl who embodies the American woman spends a summer day full of rewarding experiences and introduces the slogan “A New Kind of Classic: American Glamour with a Twist”.
Hilfiger Woman projects very well on the skin leaving a citrus floral trail that nibbles your senses. The scent is ideal for a hot summer day on the beach with the sun burning your skin and the calm water completing this idyllic image.
