As a masculine scent that evokes the water, Herrera Aqua represents an aromatic aquatic fragrance introduced in 2004 and developed by perfumers Carlos Benaim and Jean-Marc Caillan. Ideal for the dynamic man with an accentuated passion for the outdoor adventure, Herrera Aqua is a clean, crisp and invigorating fragrance that will make a fine companion in a spring or summer day.
The opening of this scent is refreshing, featuring bergamot, fig leaf, bamboo and Mandarin orange. The middle development combines the spiciness of pepper with soft floral accords of rosemary, lavender and neroli. The pepper is not cloying, its development feels pleasant on the skin and when these accords fade away, they are replaced by Tonka bean, warm amber, musk and vetiver. Throughout its entire evolution, you are able to smell the dominant accord of bamboo leaf, a note that is not so common in perfumery.
The design of the bottle is simple, made from transparent glass, having perfectly cut shapes and with the name engraved in the upper part, the stopper being integrated in the bottle’s body. The soft blue color of the liquid reminds of the ocean while the packaging box exhibits a blue navy which is characteristic for the navy chromatic.
Even though in the last years it did not receive full marketing support, Herrera Aqua is a pleasant fragrance that has all the attributes that defined the Carolina Herrera creations. It is deep and transparent with a casual sensuality that feels soft and comfortable.
