Fragrance Review

Arrived on the market in 1995, Hermès 24 Faubourg was baptized after the address of the French house’s flagship store. This feminine fragrance was developed by perfumer and features “a floral, amber, sun drenched scent”, according to the description mentioned in the official website.

Hermès 24 Faubourg is a rich perfume, aimed at a selected audience and this is best showcased by the abundance of raw materials that are shaping the final result. Hermès 24 Faubourg starts off with a citrus floral combination that includes bergamot and orange notes, next to ylang-ylang, hyacinth and peach. The next phase is dedicated to a soft floral heart, filled with notes of jasmine, orange blossom, white Tiaré flower (Tahitian gardenia), iris and black elder. Then, after a couple of hours, the perfume dries down to a woody base imbued with accords of sandalwood, amber, vanilla and patchouli.

In order to reflect the Hermès signature, 24 Faubourg comes in a bottle that evokes a silk scarf, painted in the unique orange color that became a characteristic for the majority of Hermès products. The elegant flask is topped by a golden stopper while the name of the fragrance appears printed at the bottom and is contrasting with the orange shaded packaging box.

Overall, Hermès 24 Faubourg is a perfume that does not suits everyone, being reserved for a woman with an innate sense of fashion and elegance.
