Guerlain Insolence Eau de Parfum is a more intense version of the original Insolence, a scent launched in 2006. Arrived on the market in 2008 as a floral fruity feminine, this perfume was developed by perfumers Sylvaine Delacourte and Maurice Roucel and is described on the official website as “a spark in the eyes, an intrepid smile that knows no fears and fears no one, an amused silence”.
Dedicated to the woman who feels the need for a stronger concentration, the composition of Insolence Eau de Parfum is built around the notes of intense violet and deep iris and brings profundity to the initial scent with this name. With an opening that encompassed red berries accords, Insolence Eau de Parfum is classified right from the outset as something special. Then, after no more than 20 minutes, the top note fades away and is replaced by a heart dominated by violet and iris accords, in a blend that contains as well African orange flower. The final part is the moment in which Insolence Eau de Parfum turns to a woody facet, embodied by a combination of Tonka bean, sandalwood and woodsy notes.
As with the previous flask, the bottle that holds Insolence Eau de Parfum was designed by the French artist Serge Mansau and looks as if was a sculpture carved in light. This image is embodied by 3 half-spheres made from a transparent violet glass, a color scheme chosen in order to evoke the composition of this perfume. The face of the marketing campaign is once more the American actress Hilary Swank.
