Fragrance Review

In the summer of 2010 I was pleasantly surprised by a perfume which I would not imagine that could present any interest. I admit that I have always appreciated the creations of Giafranco Ferré, a designer deemed “the Architect of Fashion”, both for his designs and his architectural background however the perfumes from the same house remained uninteresting until that time.

Launched in 2009, “” is a floral fruity fragrance for women, developed by perfumer . My wife tested the perfume in a store and due to the fact that she received a sample as well, I was able to analyze this attractive scent.

Insofar the color white was chosen by to reflect his design style this signature scent is meant to remind of purity and love. The name of the perfume represents a paraphrase to the motion picture with the eponymous name launched in 2000 by the director . The scent “In the mood for love” opens with citrus notes of in a blend with orange magnolia, white rose and tamarind. Later, the heart encompasses soft white floral accords of , Lily-of-the-valley, jasmine, red rose and cedarwood. And finally, the dry down becomes elegant from the notes of amber, white musk and .

The bottle that holds “In the mood for love” has round shapes and a stopper that fits this structure in an image resembling with a wave contour. The fragrance is appropriate for the summer time period of the year.
