Arrived on the market in April 2011 as a floral fruity feminine scent, In the Mood for Love Tender is a flanker to 2009’s In the Mood for Love. The fragrance was developed by perfumer Alienor Massenet and is a combination of citrus, green and musky accords.
As I told you here earlier, two years ago, my wife decided to test In the Mood for Love on her skin, at the suggestion of a Douglas sales assistant. The conclusion is that the perfume was a pleasant surprise. Therefore, because I imagined more or less the general line of the product, I urged her to sample the reinterpretation as well. So, last summer, we discovered a surprising refreshing fragrance with accents on green floral fruity notes, structured in order to wake your senses during a hot summer day.
In the Mood for Love Tender opens on an interesting blend that contains tangerine, cassis and polygonum (a type of natural aldehyde). Then, after the vanishing of top notes, the floral heart enters the stage, thanks to a concoction of jasmine, rose and lotus and is followed in no more than 2 hours by a musky base due to the musk, cypress and benzoin accords.
In the Mood for Love Tender was presented in the same time with In the Mood for Love Man (developed by perfumer Olivier Polge), both coming in Eau de Toilette concentration. The shape of the feminine flacon remains faithful to the nice curves introduced with the original, this time in a soft green color scheme.
