Flora by Gucci Eau de Parfum is the more intense version of the 2009’s Flora by Gucci. Arrived on the market in January 2010 as a floral feminine, this new perfume takes the rose note perceived in the heart to a whole new dimension.
I tested Flora by Gucci in 2009 at the time of its release, obviously helped with my wife, and we liked it so much that it made it to our “to buy” list, however this never happened. With this image in my mind, I came back for sampling a perfume that is strongly related to a Gucci pattern which made history.
Flora by Gucci Eau de Parfum starts off with an invigorating mix of citrus fruits and peony that predicts a fresh and delicate perfume. Then, as the scent moves slowly into its mid development phase (which happened in approximately 20 minutes) a multifaceted combination of rare osmanthus flower and rose attaches “sophistication and femininity to the Flora fragrance” (quoted from the official website). The final part is strong and sensual, a phase in which the whole combination dries down to a base imbued with sandalwood and patchouli.
Flora by Gucci Eau de Parfum comes in the bottle that looks exactly like the original flask, except the color of the liquid which is now a peach-like shade. The elegant rectangular shaped is adorned with a black lace that add a note of sophistication to the image and topped by a golden stopper.
