The popular Pleasures (launched by Estée Lauder in 1995!) received in July 2010 a flanker called Pleasures Bloom, a floral fruity feminine fragrance, aimed at revitalizing the Pleasure line and extending the company’s audience into younger age categories.
Regarded from its ingredients point of view, Pleasures Bloom combines the floral and fruity accords to propose a memorable experience for a delicate woman. The opening represents a pungent mix of pink grapefruit, raspberry and violet flower. The heart follows with a blend of green lily, litchi, pink peony, Rose and jasmine. Finally, the base is a combination of sweet vanilla, elegant patchouli and warm musk.
The designers employed a bottle similar with the classic that enclosed the original Pleasures, except this time a pink textile flower was attached to the container’s neck, topped by a metallic stopper and presented in a packaging box with floral patterns.
The advertising campaign was commissioned to the fashion photographer Craig McDean and particularly on this occasion the new face of Estée Lauder, the French model Constance Jablonski, was revealed. The result is a video commercial that features a rural atmosphere, in which the fine life comes associated with flowers and adorable puppies.
As declared by Karyn Khouri, Senior Vice President with Estée Lauder Companies Inc. “We wanted to take the timeless concept of pleasures … the enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures as the balance to a life that is often over connected and overextended”. Pleasures Bloom is the type of soft clean fragrance that is perfect for the summer period, being an illustration of a well constructed flanker.
