Absolutely Me is a flanker to 2008’s Incredible Me and 2009’s Desire Me, two fragrances with gourmand accords built with Tiramisu and rich chocolate respectively. Available from August 2010, Absolutely Me is categorized as a strong fruity floral “inspired by a rose macaron, blended with a gift of raspberry sauce, to create a scent that is intensely fresh and addictively edible”, according to the description from the official website. The same source defines the target female for Absolutely Me as “spontaneous and fabulous woman who lives out her glamorous fantasies and makes them irresistibly real”.
Given that in the past couple of years I wasn’t sampling any of the Escada fragrances, I urged my wife to test Absolutely Me last summer, in order to catch up with the novelties. After passing the initial test on blotter, I applied a few sprays on her wrist for a thoroughly testing.
From the outset, Absolutely Me opened on an intoxicating aroma of raspberry and rose, juxtaposed to the accord of pink pepper. Later, in no more than 20 minutes, a subtle heart was unveiled, which included the notes of Rose macaron, aimed at a sugary mid development, which was offset by notes of wild hawthorn and jasmine. Finally, in the base a distinct accord of vanilla was perceivable, together with a sensation of warmth and sensuality that captured the entire dry down phase.
Like with the 2 previous editions, Absolutely Me is fronted by the actress and fashion model Olivia Wilde. The bottle that encloses the fragrance replicates the form of the two letters E, one against the other and is adorned with crystals. The transparent glass reveals a purple shaded liquid and is topped by an elegant black stopper.
