Emporio Remix for Him Giorgio Armani – An Electrifying Perfume

Fragrance Review

In the summer of 2006 I was searching for a new perfume, occasion on which I started browsing through the fresh launches. The result:  I got to sample the new release (at that time!) called , from . Introduced in the same year, this creation is a tribute to fans of disco music and was presented together with its feminine counterpart Emporio Remix for Her.

From the beginning I should tell you that I was appalled by the appearance of the bottle (because I’m not a fan of the flashy, bling-bling style!), but if we take into account the aforementioned source of inspiration, its appearance could not have been different. The flask has a cylindrical shape and is made of an opaque midnight-blue shaded glass. The name Remix appears written in silver letters on the surface of the bottle.

Getting over the unpleasant surprise of the flask, I began to analyze the content. As if it was intended to be a revelation, Emporio Remix for Him was quite a pleasant fragrance, in which the dominant note comes courtesy of licorice wood. Hence, the scent starts off with a balanced combination of star anise, basil and , in which the first note is also the most evident one. After no more than 20 minutes, the perfume reaches mid development, in which a blend of spices (nutmeg and ) goes along with floral notes (Lily-of-the-valley) and fern accords. The closing of Emporio Remix for Him is the most pleasant phase, thanks to the accord of licorice wood, subdues by a mixture of and musk.

Overall, Emporio Remix for Him could be the fragrance of a young man who is not very pretentious and settles with something simple, yet belonging to a prominent perfumery house.
