Fragrance Review

The first shared fragrance launched by arrived on the market eleven years ago, back in 2001. Eau de is a unisex developed by perfumer . According to the description from the official website, the scent is “An Eau de Toilette that becomes skin, a skin that becomes Eau de Toilette”.

I sampled four years ago, in 2008 and on that occasion, the test revealed a couple of interesting facets, resulted from the combination of amber, woody and musky accords. These ingredients and their clever association are clearly responsible for the invigorating character of this .

The opening of Eau de Cartier is a blend of spices and citruses: coriander, and yuzu (Asian lemon). After this stage, when the top notes begin to develop, the heart is unveiled in a combination of violet leaf, violet flower and lavender. For the last part, the warm amber is wrapped in white musk, patchouli and cedar. The passion for details that characterizes the jewelry house of Cartier is reflected in this lovable essence.

The bottle that encloses Eau de Cartier has a cylindrical shape, while the transparent glass is perfectly reflecting the light through the liquid with clarity similar to a crystal. The stopper that tops the recipient looks very sophisticated, like an allusion to the jewelry tradition of Cartier. The packaging box is very elegant having the theme of white as dominant chromatic. Overall, Eau de Cartier is the type of unisex fragrance that is completely different from everything else, partly because of its refreshing nature.
