A perfect fragrance belonging to the oriental floral olfactory group, Dolce&Gabbana The One surprises you from the start with its floral bouquet. Introduced in 2006 with Gisele Bundchen as the face of the ad campaign, the perfume is represented by Scarlett Johansson nowadays and even introduced a 2011 Lace Edition, to celebrate its 5th year anniversary.
The first thing that came to my mind upon sampling The One was the image of light, most likely induced by the fact that this fragrance has a golden chromatic that accentuates the ideas of unique and “hard to find”.
In the top notes I sensed pitch and litchi, besides the bergamot and mandarin orange found on the ingredients list. I imagine the trace of the last two was lighter, however the first impression was more than favorable. Afterwards, the heart blasted me with floral notes of jasmine and lily of the valley carefully combined with plum. It was a very pleasant sensation of freshness that brought joy to my nostrils. For the dry down, I detected the precious amber, intertwined with elegant musk, everything spiced up with vetiver root and vanilla. It was like a feast for my olfactory senses.
The bottle projects an image of wealth accentuated by the gold color which begins from the liquid and finishes with the stopper. The straight lines without any curves bring to mind elegance with that special something that catches your attention. This scent was marketed by the Dolce&Gabbana house as a “fragrance with character”, which embodies that unique woman, who is very conspicuous and has more than her look to exhibit, because if you are not shallow you will discover something beyond the perception of your eyes.
This scent is perfect for the situations in which you desire to feel special.
