Be Delicious, the perfume belonging to the DKNY fashion label by Donna Karan was introduced in the year 2004. Built around the aroma of apple as its dominant accord, Be Delicious is a feminine chypre floral fragrance, developed by perfumer Maurice Roucel. This interesting concept coupled with the refreshing final result will appeal the young women, in search of something more than the usual citrus notes found in the composition of a perfume.

Be Delicious begins on a fresh and invigorating blend of grapefruit, cucumber and magnolia. Then, as the scent ages, it shifts to a floral facet, helped by the combination of Rose, Lily-of-the-Valley, violet, tuberose, with a stark note of apple over the entire stage. For the dry down, the creator imagined a more personal and warmer accent, sustained by the mixture of warm amber and woodsy notes.

The bottle that holds Be Delicious is replicating the shape of a half silver half green colored apple, as an allusion to the source of inspiration for this scent (the nickname for New York City, the “Big Apple”).  Actually, the label on the fragrance says “100% Pure New York”, while the packaging box comes as if was made out of recycled paper, with the brand’s inscription printed in white. The latest version of the video commercial was shot in 2010, having NYC as location and features the famous Dutch model Lara Stone.
