Fragrance Review

This new sporty fragrance from is aimed at the active men. After the successful inauguration of the Homme line in 2005 with Homme and the sequel Homme Intense from 2007, here comes the third part of the series, , arrived on the market in 2008. This masculine fragrance was developed by Dior house perfumer , as a fresh and elegant scent, incarnating the active spirit of the Dior style. And since for his original creation Demachy focused on the iris accord for bringing a note of , this time the scent was built on a simpler structure, which included accord of Nigerian ginger at its core.

Sport is infused with freshness, from which I instantly recognized the Sicilian lemon present in the top notes. Even though I like this scent a lot, if I was to choose only one perfume from Dior at this time, I would go for Intense, the 2011 edition.

Coming back to the fragrance, the opening is dominated by the Sicilian lemon, blended with grapefruit and . Then, after a little more than 30 minutes, you will recognize the intoxicating Nigerian ginger, present in the heart, in a combination with lavender and elemi. After a couple of hours, the frangrance dries down to an elegant , mixed with vetiver and saldalwood. The base notes and the heart are responsible for conferring the spicy woody character of this fragrance.

The bottle of Dior Homme Sport is absolutely perfect; the rectangular shape of the transparent glass is beautifully contrasted by the dash of red color present both on the bottle and the packaging. The face of Dior Homme Sport is once again the British actor , who manages to capture the essence of this scent: freshness, elegance and charisma.
