At first, I found it unusual that this woody floral musk fragrance is intended to replace the original Dior Homme Intense introduced in 2007, but upon testing it, I realized why. Dior Homme Intense is an improved and more intense (just like that!) version of the original fragrance. Four years were sufficient to perfect this creation and the perfumer Francois Demachy did an excellent job.
The architecture of this new perfume is meant to transform Dior Homme Intense in a classic and the moment I come in contact with it I knew I found a new addition to my perfume collection. The first tones from this Francois Demachy creation are reserved to lavender, which produced me an enchanting feeling, the same that I had upon testing Obsession Calvin Klein and Tom Ford Men. No doubt this is different from all the usual fragrances and I would say that it is better appreciated by an educated user. In the mid development, the lavender fades into enchanting accords of iris combined with ambrette and pear. It is the iris that brings class to the structure; however the Virginia cedar and vetiver discovered later in the base notes are perfecting it.
The bottle of Dior Homme Intense is build having the word elegance in mind, a shape completed by the prefect cuts that confer a masculine character to this fragrance. And there is no better choice to embody this image than Jude Law, the face of the ad campaign.
Dior Homme Intense brings to mind refinement and projects the image of a man with style and impeccable figure, who enjoys a rewarding and satisfying existence.
