This year summer version of the classic perfume Cool Water from Davidoff was introduced as a fragrant pair called Davidoff Cool Water Pure Pacific and presented earlier in March, under the tagline: “Dive into the ocean with Davidoff Cool Water Pure Pacific!”
Cool Water Man Pure Pacific is the subject of this post, a masculine aromatic aquatic inspired by the ocean and after testing it yesterday it’s only fair to say that its formula is not further from its famous predecessor. The accent in Cool Water Man Pure Pacific falls on the masculinity character of this fragrance and the charisma generated by it.
The olfactory structure of this perfume relies on the classic pyramid, having its top, heart and base notes and rendering an aroma ideal for the hot summer. The opening in Cool Water Man Pure Pacific is represented by a combination of sparkling citruses: grapefruit, mandarin and lemon, which sets the atmosphere for the upcoming phases. Then, as the initial notes subside, the aromatic facet kicks in, embodied by a blend of sage and basil. When the composition settles down, it leaves a pleasant trail of juniper on the skin, making a dry down with quite a long persistence.
The flacon that holds Cool Water Man Pure Pacific preserved the classic shaped from Cool Water, except this time the bottle has a more intense shade of blue in the extremities and a lower hue at the middle, an image which brings to mind a rainbow. The name of the perfume appears written in white color, at the bottom of the bottle.
