Adventure Eau Fraiche is a flaker to 2008’s Adventure and belongs to the woody aromatic olfactory group. The fragrance is available from February 2010 and according to the description found on the official website is characterized by the phrase “green freshness of the wild nature”. With this in mind I was expecting a lot from the new masculine perfume, in spite of the fact that Adventure was not exactly among my favorites from Davidoff .
Yet, Adventure Eau Fraiche is a fragrance well done and nothing more. It does not have the capacity to offer a re-interpretation of the green theme, however if you want a scent inspired by the freshness of nature, this might be as good as any other.
The construction of Adventure Eau Fraiche relies on heady notes that are meant to offer you a shot of energy. First, there’s the bergamot, coupled with green mandarin and the enchanting neroli. Then, as the top notes are evaporating, the scent advances slowly into the heart, in which a spicy blend of ginger and basil was employed, to render this construction an aromatic character. The final phase is the moment in which Adventure Eau Fraiche turns woody, thanks to a mixture of cedarwood and vetiver, swathed in white musk for an added sensuality.
Similar to the original flask, the bottle that encloses Adventure Eau Fraiche was also designed by Alnoor, having a form that preserves the initial silhouette, with a modified soft green color scheme. The packaging box replicates the pattern of leather and represents a pleasant image associated to the perfume. Overall, Adventure Eau Fraiche will please the active men, in search of a cool and refreshing accessory that will accompany them throughout the long voyages.
